Jeremy White
Jeremy White has lived and breathed music since he received Van Halen’s “1984” album at the age of 4 years old. He is a Canadian Aboriginal, Native from Kahnawake Mohawk Territory, a Mohawk reservation just south of the Montreal rapids.
Always known as being the “class clown”, teachers would appoint him as the designated “textbook reader” in classes because it was the only way to get him to talk while also learning. It was in grade 8 at Centennial Academy where his science teacher said, “You have a fantastic reading voice… you would be great on the radio!”, and thus began his love for radio! During days off, he’d sit at home and “pirate” the imaging from a Montreal rock station and curate playlists on his iPod. At 15 years old, he was given the opportunity to produce the morning show at his local Mohawk community station in Kahnawake. From there he began his own radio show Friday nights after radio bingo called The Rock Rewind, playing all of his favorite classic hard rock and hair metal bands. From rock, to doing country on the weekends and filling in on middays and afternoon drive, he did everything.
At the age of 17, he was called up to be on the air at Montreal’s newly re-branded radio station, The Beat 92.5. He started out doing Wednesday overnights, Midnight to 5 AM. From producing the morning show, setting up remotes, imaging producer as well as on-air duties, after two years he was upgraded to the evening show. From there he went on to do evenings in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada at Virgin Radio for 9 months before returning to Montreal where it all started at The Beat 92.5.
He can be heard nightly on Montreal’s Number #1 Music Station, The Beat 92.5, from 7 PM, Fridays on afternoon drive at 5 PM, Saturday morning and Sunday afternoons with “The Montreal Hit 40”, Montreal’s Number #1 weekend countdown. He is currently available for voice tracking event hosting, radio imaging, voice over and sound design worldwide. Contact Garber IMC for more info.
